I Believe!
(Volume Two)
A sample of God-given gifts for all who believe.
What do you think of Jesus Christ?
If you have already believed that Jesus took the punishment for your sins on the Cross; then died and rose again three days later, then God has already given you eternal life. He has also promised that He will never take your eternal life from you.
Actually, The Bible teaches us that there are at least 40 things that God gives us, or does for us, at the very moment we believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior. On this webpage are just some examples of those amazing gifts from God to every believer…
“ [God]... ...has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in
the heavenly places, in Christ. ” (Ephesians 1:3)
“I pray that you will know the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints [the Bible calls all believers ‘saints’].” (Ephesians 2:18)
1. When you believe in Jesus Christ, God gives you His
very own righteousness :
“But to him who does not work [religious deeds],
but believes in Jesus Christ [as personal savior]...,
his faith is credited [given to him] as righteousness.” (Romans 4:5)
2. You are made perfect in the eyes of God :
Now that you have God's very own perfect (and eternal) righteousness, you are perfect (justified) in His eyes - forever!
“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace
with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Romans 5:1)
3. You have eternal life :
Because you believed in Jesus Christ, God gives you eternal life – from the very moment you first believed.
Do you remember John 3:16?
“For God loved the world so much that He
gave His uniquely born son, in order that..
“The will of My Father is that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life.” (John 6:40)
“And this is the record, that God has given to us eternal life,
and this life is in His Son.” (1 John 5:11)
4. When you believed in Jesus Christ as your Savior you became a child in the Royal Family of God :
“For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:26)
“Therefore you are no longer a slave
[to the things of this world, including sin],
but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.”
(Galatians 4:7)
5. Jesus received all the judgment for all of your sins, so God will never judge you to the lake of fire for your sins :
(Though He still has to discipline you when you do sin, just as any good father will discipline his naughty child - this is taught in Hebrews 12:6-7.)
“He who believes in Him [Jesus] is not judged [by God], he who does not believe has been judged already.” (John 3:18)
“Therefore there is now no condemnation for those
who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1)
6. You are 'baptized' into Jesus Christ, by God the Holy Spirit :
The original Bible uses the Greek word ‘βαπτιζω’ (say: “baptizo”) an old, old word which really means 'identified.’ This means you are 'identified' as being one with Jesus, united in an eternal relationship with Him (Galatians 3:27, Ephesians 4:5).
7. God the Holy Spirit makes your body a temple of God :
“Don’t you know that you are a temple of God,
and that the Spirit of God dwells within you?”
(1 Corinthians 3:16)
8. Jesus dwells inside your body! :
For as long as live on this earth, the Lord Jesus Christ will always be with you–even inside you!
“For by one Spirit you were all baptized [identified]
into one body.” (1 Corinthians 12:13)
“For we are the temple of the living God; just as God has said,
‘I will dwell in them….and they shall be My people.’ ”
(2 Corinthians 6:16)
9. God the Father dwells inside you too! :
This means that every member of the Holy Trinity (God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit) all dwell inside you.
“[There is] …one God and Father of all [believers], who is over
all and through all and in all [believers].” (Ephesians 4:6)
10. You are given a human spirit :
God gives you a human spirit so that you can have a relationship with Him, studying doctrine (systematic studies of the Bible under the authority of a trained pastor-teacher) and worshiping Him:
“God is Spirit, and those who worship Him
must worship in spirit and in truth.”
(John 4:24)
“He saved us, not on the basis of righteous deeds,
but by His mercy, by the washing of regeneration
and renewing by the Holy Spirit.” (Titus 3:5)
“That which is born of flesh is flesh, that which is born of
[the Holy] Spirit is [the human] spirit. ” (John 3:6)
11. You are a Holy Priest in the Royal Family of God :
Yes! - a real priest! This means you can talk (pray) to God by yourself. For example, you can personally say your sins to God the Father and He will immediately forgive your sins.
I
“If we name our sins [to God the Father],
He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
(1 John 1:9)
“...and He [Jesus Christ] has made us to be a kingdom,
priests to His God and Father.” (Revelation 1:6)
“But you [all believers in the Church Age] are...
...a royal priesthood, a holy nation,
a people for God's own possession... ”
(1 Peter 2:9)
12. Your name will be found written in the Book of Life :
This is yet another guarantee that you will not be sentenced
to the lake of fire, but will enter into Heaven for eternity.
“…rejoice that your names are already recorded in heaven.”
(Luke 10:20)
“…and if anyone’s name was not found written in the
Book of Life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.”
(Revelation 20:15)
“BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS, AND YOU WILL BE SAVED.”
(Acts 16:31a)
